Our history
Kevin Geard, is no stranger to the personal watercraft scene, since the mid 1990's he has immersed himself in jetski's; originally selling Sea Doo and Polaris craft in central Auckland before opening his Sea Doo dealership which went on to achieve Dealer Of The Year continuously until the business was sold in 2005.
In 2007 Kevin opened Ski MD (meaning jet ski doctor) in South Auckland, with the aim of being an independent service and repair shop to assist with all brands. During this time, we also started JetskiJunk.co.nz, the first online parts & accessories web store in NZ. Jetski Junk was an overwhelming success and was sold on in 2015, allowing us to focus on Ski MD as a completely mobile service.
Ski MD currently has a loyal client base in Auckland, Waikato, Coromandel and Tauranga. The demand continues to grow as customers become increasingly time-poor, needing more convenience and expertise for their annual service.
Late 2022, we also acquired a commercial building in the most central point between all our clients, Te Aroha. This is where our custom built workshop can quickly process the repair jobs that can't be performed out in the field. We have also added on an extra "Drive Thru" service while you wait - for anyone who wants to bring their ski to us or doesn't have a suitable location for service of their own.
And we're not done yet! We have more projects ahead - so watch this space.

Senior Watercraft Technician
Owner and founder of Ski MD. Kevin also enjoys anything to do with motors, petrol and speed. (This is why he doesn't know anything about fishing!)
Currently his 2 favourite loves are a 2012 MAN HX and a Can-AM Maverick.
Any spare time Kevin has is taken up by fire fighter duties at the local Te Aroha Volunteer Fire Brigade, mountain biking or
go-karting.

Cathie joined Ski MD in 2008 when it became apparent the paperwork needed 'a women's touch'... ;-)
When time away from the computer screen allows, she can be found walking the dog or in the veggie garden.

We are looking for the right person to join us as a Personal Watercraft Technician.
All training will be provided. Applicant needs to have basic mechanical interests and be quite fit/strong.
