A smart battery charger able to deal with damp environments, perfect for jetski use!  This charger will automatically maintain, optimise and prolong the life of your jetski battery.  We've been using Motobatt batteries in our clients jetski's for over 10 years and having the battery charger completes the ultimate jetski battery system.

The LED back lit digital display has a unique feature that provides the following information:

o 9 Stage charging and maintenance auto-switching system

o Water resistant design

o Charge mode status

o Battery terminal connector for easy plug in option, as well as alligator clip included

o Suitable for AGM, lead acid and gel batteries.  *Lead acid batteries should not be connected full time unless liquid levels are regularly maintained.  Ideal for use with the MBTX20U and MBTX30U.

o Simply connect and wait for green light

Included in this system kit is;

o   The main unit with mains power cord

o   Connection leads with battery terminal connection for permanent battery connection complete with a rubber cap

o   Connection leads with crocodile battery clamps for easy short term connection

We recommend you charge your battery a minimum of once a month overnight when the jet ski is not in use to get the maximum life of your battery.

NOTE:

If you have an original lead acid battery, it is recommended that you charge your battery overnight, every 3 - 4 weeks rather than leaving the charger on constantly.  If in doubt, just ask - let us know the brand of battery you have at info@skimd.co.nz

Motobatt’s unique 9 Stage Charging and Maintenance Process:

    Qualification Phase:

Initially ensures that the battery is in good condition prior to launching charge processing. As a safety measure charge process will not begin if the battery is below 2V.

    Battery Rescue Phase:

Motobatt Battery Rescue starts if the battery voltage has risen unusually high in the early portion of the re-charge cycle. This is usually caused by plate sulfation. Once the battery rescue phase has succeeded in getting the battery to accept power, normal battery charging will begin.

    Soft Start Phase:

Soft Start is used when the charger has detected a battery at a very low initial state of charge. Voltage and current are delivered at specified rates to help the battery to recover prior to entering Pulse charge mode.

    Pulse Mode Phase:

Motobatt Pulse mode provides a high-frequency pulse charge to help the newly recovered battery to continue to accept charge as it enters the reconditioning phase.

    Recondition Phase:

The Motobatt reconditioning phase continues to work the battery at a slightly higher voltage and amperage to “re-activate” the battery plates for improved depth of charge and charge acceptance.

    Bulk Charge Phase:

With the battery now through Pulse and reconditioning phases and well on its way to full recovery the Motobatt bulk charge phase gives the battery constant current taking the battery up to 80% of its capacity.

    Absorption Phase:

In the Motobatt absorption phase, the battery is given constant voltage while the current is reduced based on action taken from monitoring the batteries current state until the battery is 100% charged.

    Check Phase:

The battery will now be checked to be sure that it is holding a charge properly and the charger will make a determination and classify the battery for use, or not.

    Maintenance Phase:

Motobatt MBTX20U & MBTX30U batteries can be safely left on the charger indefinitely. The unit will monitor the battery and automatically turn-on again as needed to maintain the battery at a full state of readiness.
